Prayer Support at Columbine Unity

Prayer is the mainstay of the Unity movement. Prayer is the primary mechanism through which we experience and manifest the power and presence of God in our lives. Columbine Unity offers several forms of Prayer Ministry. We invite you to use these prayer resources and experience the wondrous Love and Power of God as it flows to us, and through us, in prayer.

Our Prayer Team

Praying Hands

The Prayer Team is composed of individual prayer partners. They are trained volunteers who prayerfully support you in your spiritual journey. Current Prayer Partners are: Alison Barrows-Young, Christie Coates, Jim Dickie, Sue Furtney, Susan Gallagher, Colleen Jayne, George Jayne, Debra Johnson, Julia Johnson, Kim Lytle, Diane Magliolo, Cindy Pillmore, Leanne Rizzo, Caron Sargent, Ruth Tuck, Kristi Weber, and Lynn Whitman.

Prayer Partners are available to pray for you after each Sunday service. If you'd like someone to pray for you, all you have to do is take a seat with one of the prayer partners and let them know what your prayer request is. It is their joy to then share a brief prayer with you.

Please note: Prayer partners are available for prayer; they do not counsel; they pray!

Praying Hands

As an additional service to members, the Prayer Team also offers the Prayer Outreach Program. Members who choose to participate in this program will be assigned to a Prayer Partner. This person will call you once a month and ask you if there is any way she/he can support you in prayer. These phone calls will be very brief, perhaps 1-2 minutes, at most. If you are not home, your Prayer Partner will leave a brief prayer message for you on your answering machine, and will call you again the following month. Again, the same parameters apply: Prayer partners do not counsel; they pray!
