'Created to be blessed and to be a blessing, I align my thoughts and actions so that I am adding to an increasing flow of good.' -The Daily Word

Our spring fund raising campaign begins this month. This will be the only direct fund raising campaign of the year. You can target your donation to any of the six categories described below.
  • Youth and Family Ministry and Music Ministry: goal $10,000. As our congregation has grown, so have the time demands on our directors, Sigrid and Christie. They have created first class programs and are continuing to expand them as we grow. We've tried to bring their salaries to market levels using love offerings alone, but we are still missing the mark.
  • Grade the southwest part of our lot: goal approx $2,000. This part of our lot has not been graded, and it is difficult to control the weeds in the rough area. After grading it flat, we'll start getting dry land grasses established.
  • Cement ramp to Fellowship Hall: goal $4,620. We want to eliminate the mud and ice and improve handicap access.
  • Additional landscaping: goal $5,250. We would like to continue to green up our property. Spring is the time to plant, and it takes several years for trees and shrubs to get established.
  • Permanent sign near street: goal $7,000. It's about time to take down our tired old wooden sign and install a beautiful, stone sign with lighting, fitting for our lovely church.
  • Patio furniture: goal $2,630. Four nice sets with umbrellas and six chairs each will improve the appearance of the patio and entrance to the church. They will be put to good use on many Sundays with the warm southern exposure.
Please prayerfully consider how you can help to support our youth and music programs and continue to enhance our facility. Please keep in mind that income from Love Offerings is just meeting our monthly operating expenses. Please do not divert donations from Love Offerings to the spring fund raising campaign.

Here's a thought. You could donate all or part of your tax rebate to CUC. You would get a tax deduction, and we'll stimulate the economy by spending it on the above. Sounds like a win-win situation! There will be more details on the campaign in the coming weeks. If you have any questions, talk to a Board member.
