IN OUR FAMILY
Monthly Potluck

at 3211 McClure Dr. in Erie. Charlie is providing BBQ chicken for everyone. Bring things to go with chicken.
Church Picnic
July 20th at the Boulder Reservoir. Mark your calendars for the 2nd annual church picnic. Last year's picnic was a great success and we had a ball! Scott's brother sold his boat, so we are looking for a power boat to use this year. If you have one, please let us know.
Also, we will need some volunteers to help with the food for the picnic. We will have a sign up sheet for preparation and set up, clean up and for people to work the grill for a one hour shift.
Garden Market
We have created a little market to sell produce on Sundays. Beth brough some wonderful lettuce last Sunday. We require a minimum of a 10% tithe to the church or you can designate for the proceeds to go to a particular project or to the general fund. We will have tables and a tent set up.
Mental Health Ministry
The Mental Health Ministry support group meeting will be this Sunday, June 29th after the 2nd service in the sanctuary.
"Conversations From the Hearts of Men" Workshop
Sun. Aug. 3rd ~ 1:30-4:30. Facilitated by Geoff Laughton. Geoff, and several men who have done men's work with him over the last few years, will be offering a special event for men only. Designed to help men go deeper into their hearts, to hear the messages waiting for them there, this workshop will give men insight into four key archetypes that all men have and how they are pivotal to helping us
achieve deeper mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical balance in these times where balance is seemingly more difficult to achieve.
Come learn about passion, purpose, presence and power as they live in our hearts as men. Geoff is a Transformational Coach and Counselor in Erie, and has been facilitating men's workshops and retreats for the last 8 years. This is offered on a love donation basis. Please sign up at the Activities Center.
The Power of Forgiveness Workshop
Sun. Aug. 10th ~ 1:30 - 4:30pm
Facilitated by Rev. Wendy Burroughs. Join us for this powerful experience of letting go. Together we will explore and practice effective ways to truly forgive.
This workshop is designed to help each person release the energy of the past that is no longer serving the highest good and to make the way clear for a new level of abundance and fulfillment. Love-offering.
Shuttle Service
The shuttle from the parking lot at 95th & Arapahoe has been discontinued for the summer.
Staying Connected
As our church grows, we want to stay connected to one another. One good way we can do that is to share our important news in the "In Our Family" section of the weekly email. (Births, marriages, illnesses, deaths, etc.) If you have something you would like to share with the community, please email your item to
admin@columbineunity.org

Grocery Script
Another way that we earn money for the church. We have now added Vitamin Cottage to our list of stores, which includes King Soopers, Safeway and Wild Oats and the church makes 5%. You purchase a $50 gift card and it's good for $50 in groceries - doesn't cost you any extra money out of your pocket, it just makes the church money! Someone is at a table in the lobby after every service where you can get script.
Wedding Chapel
We are now making Columbine Unity available for weddings in our sanctuary. If you or anyone you know is planning a wedding, please let them know our space is available to them. Interested parties can contact Scott or Carol at 303-546-0114.
Electronic Giving
We now have the capability to receive direct payments that are debited automatically from your checking account on a weekly, bimonthly or monthly basis. Authorization forms are available to sign up for this service.
Internet Shopping
Support our building fund by going to SchoolBates and registering to shop at 500 different stores. See instructions near the bottom of this page.
Daily Word
If you have any copies of the Daily Word (in good condition) that you are finished with, please bring them in to the office.
Raising Building Funds the Easy Way
As you know we have built our building and we continue to look for creative ways to raise building funds. We have come across an idea that won’t cost us any extra money that we would like you to consider. We are working with SchoolBates to raise funds for our building. Although their site is mostly used by schools we will be able to use it to help CUC.
SchoolBates is an online shopping portal and cost absolutely nothing extra for you to use and in some cases provides you with
coupons and
specials not available anywhere else. When you shop on SchoolBates,
CUC will receive a rebate averaging 2.5% to 8% on purchase of every day items, clothing, office/school supplies, special gifts, travel, jewelry, music and more. Some merchants pay up to 18%. You will find about 500 stores from merchants that you know and trust to specialty shops. All you’re shopping is private between you and the stores you shop. CUC simply receives a check from SchoolBates for our building fund.
You can help by registering. It does not cost anything and it helps CUC. Just follow the directions below, which take less than two minutes to complete. Thank you for helping us grow.
