Teens and Pre-Teens

Uniteens: Grades 6-8

11am Sundays during the school year

Uniteens is about having fun while exploring Unity's beliefs. Teens and pre-teens discover and express deeper aspects of their spiritual nature while learning more about themselves and one another.

These sixth, seventh, and eighth graders meet throughout the school year during our second service. Through informal sharing as well as structured lessons, they develop spiritually, emotionally and socially. A spring weekend retreat deepens their connection with each other and their sponsors, and fosters life-long friendships.

Uniteens assist with service projects, fund-raising, and other special church events, in addition to organizing social activities.

Coming of Age Program: Grade 8

Besides taking part in Uniteen activities throughout the year, 8th graders may commit to this program which has the following goals:

  • To know oneself as a whole.
  • To know oneself as part of a greater whole.
  • To be recognized by the community.

Coming of Age students visit other places of worship with their mentors, interview Columbine members and others about their spiritual journey, provide acts of service, and prepare to present their evolving spiritual credo at the end of the school year before graduating to our Y.O.U. program.
