We Are A Community That Cares

This Holiday Season

For many years, the Columbine commUNITY has provided support during the holiday season to Chandra’s Gift, helping those with mental health issues via Boulder Mental Health Partners, and providing a holiday gift to many who would not receive any other remembrance. We sell ChocoLove bars to raise money for this cause and take donations that go directly to purchasing the holiday gifts. Lean more about Mental Health Partners www.mhpcolorado.org

Also, for many years, your donations have been supporting Para Los Ninos, which is an outreach started by Columbine members Bob and Jerene Anderson, who raise funds for several orphanages in Mazatlan Mexico. In the winter, Bob and Jerene travel to Mazatlan and visit the children and help where they can.

This year you can also help children and have fun by stuffing Christmas stockings for A Precious Child. The Christmas stockings are to be filled with items for children ages 0-18 and help families in need in our immediate area. Stockings are due at Columbine by December 12.

Feet Forward

Every Third Tuesday of the Month

11:30 am- 1 pm at Columbine

As we are warm in our homes, we remember there are those who do not have a home nor adequate food. If you would like to help feed them, we have been invited by the director of Feet Forward, an all-inclusive, non-profit organization in Boulder, providing services for individuals experiencing homelessness, to participate in their hot meal service once a month. On the 3rd Tuesday of each month we come together at Columbine to prepare food that will be taken to downtown Boulder to help those in need.

We need donations and volunteers for this ongoing community outreach program lead by our very own Janis Kelly.

Path to Belonging

Most people have a basic need to feel they belong. Being part of a spiritual community can help you gain that sense of belonging. We recognize, though, that it’s up to  each individual to develop connections in order to feel like they belong to any community. To help you connect and gain a sense of belonging, we have created our Path to Belonging, which includes a list of suggested spiritual activities. These are meant to help you grow, learn Unity teachings and develop relationships within Columbine.

Path to Membership

If you are looking to step into that next level of commitment to Columbine Spiritual Center, our path to voting membership is a list of required spiritual activities that we feel are a minimum every voting member needs to complete.  Columbine is a self-supporting ministry, which means it takes many people to operate a community of our size. Voting members are committed to ensuring our community is sustainable by providing their time, talent and treasure to Columbine. When you devote your time and financial resources to Columbine and understand our teachings, you will feel a greater sense of belonging and feel more supported, which can change your life for the better in many ways.
