Learning As We Go - Growing in Unity Group

Welcome to our group Learning As We Go - Growing in Unity Group! This is a space for remembering and reminding each other who we are in Consciousness. I look forward to us learning from and with one another. Below is the message of GRATITUDE that I share with the CSC community after my first week. As this space evolves, it is my hope that the Spirit of GRATITUDE permeates every engagement we have with one another. I want to thank all of you for the warm welcome my family and I received on Sunday November 9th, 2025 as we all began this journey together in ministry. As you get to know me, hopefully you’ll come to recognize that I see each of us as whole and simultaneously interrelated beings. As the sub-Saharan philosophy expresses, I know “I am because We are”. This is the soul essence of community. With this in mind, I approach professional ministry as a relational enterprise. We are all learning and teaching with one another moment by moment–from the new born baby to the most experienced among us. And we all locate ourselves in multiple narratives, contexts, and roles that have somehow led us to this season together. 

To the best of my abilities, I intend to serve from an invitational presence. Like the sign says as we enter the sanctuary space, we are here to remember who we [truly] are. So, my first commitment is to remembering and my calling is to be a reminder. As I’ve shared with you all, my faith journey has taken me from some of the strictest doctrines to increasingly progressive and contemplative community spaces. But what has always remained the same is my desire to know myself as I am known by the Divine and to love God, people, and self as wholeheartedly as possible. As we journey together, it is my hope that we share many moments of remembering, that we will have grace when we forget, and that we will always welcome being reminded.
