A Complaint Free Encouragement

How’s it going being complaint free 😂. i’m not sure if I’m on day one for the third time or if I’m on day two. But, I did make it through almost all of the day yesterday, mostly because I was by myself, before I complained at the end of the night. So technically, I’m probably on day one again. But either way, I’m excited about this tool. I’ve tried not to complain or gossip for a long time and I do my best not to. But like everyone there are things they get to me and I end up complaining. But with this tool, I’m actually laughing about it and really paying attention to the energy that arises that he like a potentially be a Complaint. What I’m curious about is who I will be as a result of this process. I’m not trying to. I’m just I’m curious…

I also want to add that this has given insight to what it would be like at the other end of the spectrum. What would this complaining challenge look like if I were in severe joy rather than grief? How would things affect me? Would I not care like I don't in this sadness.? It's interesting to think about.

Community: The Solution to Every Social Challenge

When I look at some of the challenges in the world, my soul can’t help but see possibilities. I’ve always been that way. Perhaps sometimes it would seem to a fault. And yet, my mind tells me that there cannot be one power in the universe that is loving, and that humans are incapable of living into and creating wholly loving communities. One of those notions has to be false in my mind. And so, I choose that the power of love is real, and that we humans have work to do to live into that power. In this video, I talk a little bit about my thoughts about how love Naturally Foster’s community. I would love to hear your thoughts on this.

With the teachings that we have at our disposal, we are in an awesome position to hold space for community and ways that are rarely been seen…

I see love as the opposite of fear. Wrapping your fears in love is a wonderful way to overcome them.

What Is Worth Thinking About

Recently, I got into a book called 7 1/2 Lessons About the Brain at the recommendation of my Enneagram coach. I explained to her that there are things that I don’t feel like using my brain to think about, but other people that I am in a relationship with want to think about these things. And as a result, I find myself thinking about those things and then trying to explain why I don’t want to think about those things which then keeps me in a loop about thinking about those things.

I was explaining to her that I used to be very introverted and did not like explaining myself. But because people would make up meaning for my silence, I eventually started getting really good at explaining myself under the false assumption that if I can explain myself well I would be able to go back to silence. That’s…

Well, I haven’t read the book, but you have me intrigued. Yes there are things that I think about that drained my energy; when I think of things, I cannot change that I would like to change in the world that trains my energy. The things that give me energy because I’m an extrovert or being with good people. Also things that give me energy or meditation in prayer and honestly the thing that gives me the most energy is being of service to others. Whenever I’m feeling down if I do something for someone else, I always feel better.

No Joys Are Ever Lost

In this community, we have so many resources to connect us to the reality that nothing that has ever brought us joy is ever lost. Among those resources are the reading materials and the talks and little pamphlets like the one i reference in the video. But the greatest resource is each other. One of the joys that I discovered in this place is that at any moment I feel like I can talk to any person and be in a conversation about the highest possibilities in life. Where else can that be normalized besides a community that encourages us to remember who we are? In many of my experiences talk like that was relegated to special relationships. But here we speak the language of possibilities. And from that place, we are reminded that no good is ever lost. As eternal beings having a human experience, we have access to…
